SwissEdge › Prepare Binance
Prepare Binance
This takes about 5 minutes on binance.com. A computer is easiest. You need a verified Binance account with two-factor authentication.
Why a sub-account? It keeps the money the rules use apart from the rest of your crypto. You can create up to 5 for free.
- Create a sub-account. In Binance, open Account › Sub-Accounts › Create Sub-Account. Choose a virtual sub-account and give it a name, for example swissedge1.
- Create an API key for it. In Sub-Accounts › API Management, pick the new sub-account and create a key (system generated). Name it SwissEdge.
- Set the permissions. Edit the key: tick "Enable Spot & Margin Trading" and nothing else. Leave "Enable Withdrawals", futures, margin loans and options OFF. Under IP access, choose "Restrict access to trusted IPs only" and add this address: 167.99.132.245
- Limit it to these coins. Still in Sub-Accounts › API Management, turn on the symbol whitelist for this key and add the pairs SwissEdge's rules trade by default: BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, SOLUSDT, BNBUSDT, XRPUSDT, DOGEUSDT, ADAUSDT, AVAXUSDT, LINKUSDT and LTCUSDT. If you choose other coins when you switch rules on, SwissEdge shows their pairs: add them to the list too. Even a stolen key could then buy no other coin.
- Copy the key and the secret. Binance shows the secret only once. Keep this page open and connect it in SwissEdge right away.
- Add USDT. Transfer the USDT the rules may use from your main account to the sub-account (Wallet › Transfer).
With withdrawals off, the IP restriction and the symbol whitelist, the key can only trade the coins on your list for this sub-account, only from SwissEdge's server, and nobody can move money out with it. SwissEdge checks the key every hour and pauses your rules if withdrawals, futures, margin or options get switched on.
